What We Believe

What We Believe

The Bible

The Bible is God’s revelation to humanity; the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12).

The Trinity

Our Creator and King eternally exists as one God in three persons - Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Genesis 1:26; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-3; Hebrews 1:1-3).

Jesus

The Heavenly Father sent His Son, Jesus, who being fully God and fully man became the substitute. He allowed himself to be overcome by the full force of Satan’s violence on the cross. After being buried, He was bodily resurrected on the third day. (Isaiah 7:14, 9:7; Luke 1:26-38, 2:1-20, 24:1-53; Romans 4:25; 5:6-8; 1 Corinthians 15:1-57).

Holy Spirit

The present-day work of the Holy Spirit not only seals and cleanses, but it also empowers the Church. Believers are invited to experience the baptism of the Holy Spirit along with a multiplicity of other spiritual gifts. (Acts 1:8; 2:1-4; 4:30; Romans 8:11; 12:1-2; 1 Corinthians 6:11; 12:1-11; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 2:3-4).

Mankind

Humanity was formed in God’s image to reflect His authority and purposes in the earth (Genesis 1:26-28; 2:7; Psalm 8:4-8; 115:16). Nevertheless, creation rebelled against the creator (Genesis 3:1-24). Sin not only opened the door to evil, it created a separation from God that is impossible for man to overcome (Romans 5:12-14; Ephesians 2:3).

Salvation

The Kingdom of God came in the ministry of the Messiah. It continues to come in the ministry of the Holy Spirit through the Church, and will be consummated at the literal, physical return of Jesus (Isaiah 9:7-8; Matthew 10:7-8; Mark 1:14-15; Luke 11:20; Romans 5:17; 2 Timothy 2:11-12) At the final judgment, God will resurrect the righteous and transform all of creation (Romans 2:4-10; 1 Corinthians 15:26; Philippians 3:21; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18). Satan and all who have rejected God’s love will be cast into the lake of fire (Matthew 13:41; John 12:31; Revelation 19:20-21; 20:10,14). Everything within all the cosmos will be made new (2 Corinthians 5:17; Hebrews 12:27; Revelation 21:5).

Eternal Life

We believe in the resurrection of believers into everlasting life and blessing in Heaven and the resurrection of unbelievers into everlasting punishment in the torments of Hell. (John 3:16; John 5:24; Mark 9:43-48; 2 Thess. 1:9; Rev. 20:10-15; John 5:28-29; 1 Cor.15:51-52)

Return of Jesus

We believe in the personal, literal and bodily return of Jesus Christ in power and glory as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (1 Thess. 4:13-18; Zech. 14:5; Matt. 24:27, 30; Rev.1:7; Rev. 19:11-14; Rev. 20:1-6)

The Church

The Church is a vibrant community of believers who actively worship, pray, and fellowship as they apply the Bible to their lives. They are a unique channel of God’s initiatives here on earth. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; Romans 12:4-5; 1 Corinthians 4:11-16; 12:13, 27-28; 14:12; Ephesians 2:19-22).

Our Mission Statement

Every person is called to reach the hurting, hopeless and lost souls in our community and our desire is to bring out that God-potential by preparing this body of believers to become ambassadors and ministers in their homes and in this city! We exist to impact our homes, communities and world with the Love of Christ, making disciples and leading them into an unshakeable relationship with their Creator. We challenge the believer to function in the gifts of the Spirit for the edification and equipping of the Saints and developing in them a heart that follows hard after God!
